This site now uses the new version of WordPress, version 3.5. Many changes, but mainly  in the back-end, the admin site. Also new is the default theme, Twenty Twelve, which has a responsive layout, i.e. the layout will be adapted depending on the screen size, so it will work as well on a smartphone.

Before, I used the Roots theme, a.o. because it has a responsive layout. The previous default theme, Twenty Eleven, was not responsive, en therefore less suitable for mobile phones.

Considerations to make the switch to this theme were:

1. I think it is a beautiful theme. nice and simple, elegant. Not spectacular, but in the end it’s all about the content, and how it is presented as clear as possible. A few changes (colours and logo) make it recognizable.
2. I hope the theme will be compatible with most plugins–I’m not a WordPress specialist, so problems should be avoided where possible, and if they occur, I expect that a solution or workaround will be found and published quickly.
